Beginners are encouraged to sign up. Young beginners will begin with a string instrument. Loaner violins can be provided to string students. Students will study with professional teachers who actively perform with orchestras throughout the southeast. Benefits from the program include fostering the passion and love for music, expert musical training, guidance on rehearsal techniques, planning and career advice. To participate please contact Terry Lowry at tlowry@musicaloverture.com for a placement meeting. If you are unable to come for a meeting, please send a short video to Mr. Lowry.
Accepted students will receive:
-
30 minute private lesson
-
30 minute duet lesson
-
ensemble participation
The ensemble experiences range from homogenous ensembles like clarinet choirs, to woodwind/brass/string/percussion ensembles, to a full orchestral experience. It just depends on the students participating.
Currently, serving students on a first come, first served basis. Lessons will focus on music fundamentals, district honor band and all-state etudes, and college audition preparation. With an experience like this students will surely become musical leaders within their music programs!
