ARTISTIC STATEMENT
The Carroll Symphony Orchestra enriches the lives of children and adults in our community by cultivating deep listening and sustained engagement with the living symphonic tradition—connecting music of the past with the creation of new work today.
Our seasons present a continuing exploration of the living symphonic tradition, connecting masterworks of the past with the creation of new music in the present. We return to major works often to allow both musicians and audiences to refine their understanding and find new meaning in extended musical forms. Our long-term artistic vision is to cultivate performances of increasing clarity, balance, and expressive integrity. In concert halls and through recordings, we seek to create experiences that help our community engage more profoundly with their own emotional and intellectual lives.
